But what is an intelligent scanner and what does it do?
An intelligent scanner is a software tool designed to detect and analyse patterns or anomalies within data.
In essence, an intelligent scanner acts as a detective, exploring data and searching for potentially irregularities based on rules. These rules are specific patterns, allowing the scanner to detect inconsistencies or previously unknown errors precisely.
For example, in the context of the daily flight record, our scanner analyses incoming flight entries against previous entries looking for potential inconsistencies with previous entries. The scanner not only looks at the previous and next airframe entry but takes into account things like, Hobbs, Tacho, Flight Time etc to ensure consistency of entries. Based on the scanning results we can offer the administrator suggested changes to an entry to make it align correctly within the Daily Flight Record.
